About Lillee Jean:
Lillee Jean is an American actress known for her popular web series Lillee Jean TALKS! Live. She recently acted in the short film 'Miss Roxie', and produced, directed, and starred in two comedy films. Her most recent project is So Lillo Qui, an acting monologue show.
What are some of the most interesting or exciting projects you are working on now?
I am constantly thinking about my next project, and sometimes find myself jotting down a screenplay while sharing brunch with friends, or taking a walk! I am currently working on my short film Peony & Violet Take Deux, as well as another episode of my ongoing show So Lillo Qui! I take enormous pride in writing all of my projects myself. When I wrote the first Peony & Violet I imagined how my friends and I talk, then added a layer of like a valley girl. Then after writing a few things that came to my mind, Peony came out super optimistic, and Violet, very pessimistic. The next short film will be very comical, and enjoyable to act in!
In order to further develop my skills and become the best actress I can be, I have recently enrolled in acting classes. Though not a film project, I feel improving yourself and becoming the best you can be can be like a project. It is my goal to continue improving and refining my craft.
You have been blessed with success in a career path that can be challenging. Do you have any words of advice for others who may want to embark on this career path, but seem daunted by the prospect of failure?
With any career takes hard work! Entertainment takes a lot of dedication, and I think that for those daunted by the prospect of failure, it’s a failure to not even try. I encourage you to take an acting class, write your own screenplays, and become comfortable with being in film. You may discover that you don’t enjoy it, but at least you will have given it a try. Many people shy away from entertainment because they are scared or worried about the social aspect. However, it’s important to remember that there will always be both negative and positive voices. Focus on doing it for yourself and for the people who will be touched and changed by your performances.
