BYLINE: Online bullying, and online gang stalking, are not innocent crimes. Project: Bullyish tells the story of modern-day online stalking, and, the effects it has. From social platforms ignoring obvious crises to content farms producing mass content to profit off lies for money, this is the story of a teenager, to a woman. It serves as a bold and eye-opening exploration into the dangers of online bullying and the resilience of one young woman who fought back against it all.

About Project: Bullyish Film

Bullyish is a powerful exploration of the disturbing prevalence of online bullying and stalking, taking audiences on a journey from the vulnerable struggles of a 15-year-old navigating the dangers of social media to the resilience and growth of a 23-year-old woman who has learned to navigate the digital world with strength and grace. This impactful project shines a light on the devastating consequences of cyberbullying, and cyberstalking, revealing how social media platforms often ignore the urgent crises occurring right under their noses. It exposes the seedy underbelly of content farms that profit from spreading harmful misinformation and fueling the cycle of online harassment.

The film delves deep into the emotional toll that online harassment can take on individuals, showing how it can affect them not only during their teenage years but also well into adulthood. By following the contrasting experiences of two people, the film brings to light the lasting impact of cyberbullying and how it can shape a person's self-esteem, relationships, and mental well-being for years to come. As a woman grapples with the scars of their online torment from years ago, the other navigates the current landscape of cyberbullying and its constantly evolving tactics. Through these intertwined narratives, Bullyish sends a powerful message about the urgency of addressing and combating this widespread issue in our increasingly digital world. It serves as a reminder that the effects of online harassment can be long-lasting and profound, underscoring the importance of fostering a safer and more empathetic online environment for all individuals, regardless of age or background.
